We are pleased to offer for sale a stunning, 1955 Ford Fairlane that underwent a nearly 5-year restoration that is in outstanding condition in nearly all aspects. With less than 1000 miles since a rebuild, the 272CI V8 Engine idles and performs flawlessly, likewise the Ford-O-Matic transmission shifts smoothly. Upon start up, you can tell this car was restored to a degree of professionalism with an upgraded 12V system, new fuel pump, carburetor, etc. The car was shipped from North Carolina to Pennsylvania back around 2011, where it was stripped down, new quarters were installed and then the car was repainted. All the chrome was sent out to California to be replated, all the windows with the exclusion of the rear window were replaced to as near of factory spec as could be found. The aluminum trim work shows excellent as described in the video, and all rubbers and seals were said to of been replaced as well. It does ride on Bias Ply tires due to the fact the owner wanted to keep this Fairlane as close to original spec as possible. Throughout the interior, the photos really don’t do it justice. Honestly, it is probably in better condition now than in 1955, the carpeting, headliner, dash area, etc were all restored to factory specifications except for the turquoise seat inserts as the classic vinyl mesh style is not existent. All of the gauges have been gone through and are in working condition, likewise the lower dash mounted gauges are of vintage style. Sent out to Philadelphia, the original radio was converted over to an AM/FM radio all while keeping the original look. As seen in the photos the undercarriage shows exceptional and the painted engine block, dual exhaust system, etc- really brings it all together.  The detailed engine bay would be the star of a show with the Ford Oil Bath Air Cleaner giving it a really unique look, however it has been upgraded to a regular air cleaner all while maintaining original look. If you have the chance to come and see this car in person, I can say with honestly, you will not be disappointed. While it is not a new car or a $100,000 restoration, this is an excellent choice for a collector or something wanting an exceptional classic car that wont break the bank.
